Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Motorist Trapped After Central Jersey Crash Firefighters freed a motorist from a smashed-up vehicle during rush-hour in Middlesex County, authorities said. The serious crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m.at Woodbridge Avenue and Gurley Road in Edison, reports said. Car Flips In South Jersey, 2 People Airlifted To Hospital A car flipped over onto its roof, trapping two people in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash was reported Tuesday afternoon at South Church Street and Gaither Driver in Mount Laurel Township, reports said. Two people were trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters and EMS crews, initial reports said.  Police closed Church Street and a medevac helicopter was en route. Heroes: Detectives Catch Fleeing Fugitive, Then Save His Life, Atlantic County Sheriff Says Three sheriff's officers from Atlantic County are credited with saving a wanted fugitive's life after he began overdosing, authorities said.  Sheriff’s Detectives Mark Allen, Dalton Rodriguez and Jordan Corona arrested a wanted fugitive in the Town of Hammonton after a brief foot pursuit,  according to Sheriff Eric Sheffler. Off-Duty Trenton Firefighter Tries Saving Delaware River Drowning Victim, Reports Say Despite a rescue attempt by an off-duty Trenton firefighter, a man drowned in the Delaware River, authorities said. The victim's name had not been released pending notification of family members.  9-1-1 calls reporting "a body in the water" near Thunder Road came in about 2 p.m. Lt.
