Two people were arrested during a speeding stop in Carroll County after being busted with drugs in Westminster, according to the sheriff's office.
Hedgesville native Brian Keith Smeltzer, 52, and Samantha Renae Arbogast, 43, of Clear Brooke, Virginia, were both arrested on Monday afternoon following a traffic stop when the former was caught speeding, officials say.

Road Rage: Man Nabbed For Incident In Darien
A 24-year-old man who allegedly pointed a BB gun at a tow truck driver on I-95 in Fairfield County and slowed down to 5 mph has been charged by state police.
Dae Jesus Acosta, age 24, of Central Falls, Rhode Island, was arrested around 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 29, in Darien for a road rage incident.
According to Connecticut State Police, a tow truck driver called 911 after Acosta, who was trying to merge onto I-95 in Darien, in front of the truck slowed down to 5 mph and then pointed what looked like a gun at the driver. He kept following the car for several miles.

Man With 19 Arrests Caught Again In Lloyd With Stolen Property, Cops Say
A man on parole with 19 prior arrests and five convictions has been nabbed again for allegedly stealing property.
Tobi C. Tobin, age 54, homeless, was arrested on Monday, April 29, in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd for criminal possession of stolen property.
According to Chief James Janso of the Lloyd Police Department, Tobin was found in possession of a stolen Trek Mountain bike and a stolen Samsung tablet.
Tobin had previously been arrested by Lloyd Police on Saturday, April 20, for criminal trespass and again on Thursday, April 25, for trespass, Janso said.

Heroes: NJ Transit Police Save Life Of Choking Child In Trenton (Video)
Two New Jersey Transit Police officers saved a choking boy in Trenton earlier this month, authorities said.
They released this video on Twitter of the April 16 rescue on Wednesday, April 30.
At 9:44 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 the officers are shown beginning the rescue. They performed life-saving CPR to save the child, authorities said.

Former Moody's Lawyer From NJ Admits Failing To Pay Taxes
A Morris County man who served as a longtime general counsel to Moody's has pleaded guilty to willfully failing to file federal income tax returns for four years, federal authorities said.
John Goggins, 63, of Chatham, grossed $54 million "from wages, restricted stock awards, the exercise of annual nonqualified stock options, interest, dividends, and gains from stock sales" from 2018 through 2021, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said.
