Man Electrocuted At Hoboken PATH Trying To Retrieve Cell Phone: Papd
A man was hospitalized after he went onto the tracks at Hoboken PATH Train and was electrocuted on Sunday, Aug. 10, authorities said.
At 1:55 a.m., officers found a 25-year-old man on the tracks, unconscious after trying to retrieve his dropped cell phone, Port Authority police said. He was injured after coming in contact with the third rail, police said.
Power to the third rail was shut and the victim was removed, stabilized and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in serious but stable condition, police said.

A man was electrocuted while working at an ice rink on Long Island in an incident that required him to be airlifted and left a second person injured.
The Bellmore incident occurred on Friday, June 14, Nassau County Police said.
At about 11:30 a.m., a 62-year-old man was working in the electrical service room of 2600 Newbridge Road, the site of the Newbridge Arena.
While he was working, he got electrocuted, causing burns on his arms and stomach.
A second man, age 39, attempted to help him, however, he suffered burns to his arm while doing so.

Breaking: Man Killed By Electrocution From Fairfax County Power Line: Police
Officers were at the scene of a fatal accident involving a bucket truck on Monday, September 19, officials said.
Sometime before 1:15 p.m., a power line worker, who was operating a bucket truck on Georgetown Pike near Langley Fork Lane, was electrocuted by a power line, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Local police arrived at the scene and the victim was pronounced dead, authorities reported.
After the incident, parts of the area, between Chain Bridge and Langley Fork, were shut down, police said.
