UPTON, Mass. – A 48-year-old Northbridge woman will be summonsed to Milford District Court following an accident at early Thursday on Pleasant Street.
According to police, a vehicle driven by Dawn Floyd of 35 Cross Place, Northbridge, went off the roadway at 12:05 a.m. The vehicle went down an embankment, struck a group of trees and came to rest on its side in the yard of 159 Pleasant St.
Floyd was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
The extent of her injuries and her condition were unknown, but Police Chief Michael J. Bradley Jr. said they were not life-threatening.
Bradley said that Floyd will be charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, possession of a Class A substance (heroin) and a marked-lanes violation.
